Many developments have taken place recently in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and South Caucasus countries (EECASC), bringing in new S&T cooperation opportunities for EECASC and EU R&D and industrial actors. EECASC research excellence is now intensely sought after by foreign partners in ICT fields (nanotechnologies, supercomputers, GRID technologies, networks, software, components and systems etc.)

The EECASC countries will be found in the locus of the ICT 2010 with several activities. Specifically, visitors will have the opportunity to meet and greet various ICT researchers and scientists from the region in the dedicated exhibition booth, but also discuss with specific collaboration opportunities during the networking session.

The exhibition booth will exploit the results and offers of the currently running EECA projects (ISTOK-SOYUZ, SCUBE-ICT, EXTEND), IncoNet CA/SC project, and EU-RU.NET project. Attention wil be drawn to the ICT competences in the region; the dissemination of information about EECASC R&D teams; the various platforms and tools tools aiming to strengthen EU-EECASC collaboration (incrEAST; EU-EECA ICT competence platform and FP7 Help-Desk.

The stand will also serve as meeting point for visitors interested in cooperation with EECA ICT actors and help strengthening ICT collaboration.
